Daniel Fournier founded Fair Immigration, He is a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants Regulatory Council of Canada, and the Quebec Registry of Immigration Consultants.

After studying social sciences at the University of Montreal, Mr. Fournier obtained a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the prestigious Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). His master’s thesis, which analyzes the impacts of globalization on Mexican agricultural workers, earned him an honorary mention from the UNAM in January 2013.

In addition to his academic training related to the field of immigration. Mr. Fournier was a Senior Immigration Officer for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) from 2011 to 2015. As a decision-maker for IRCC, he has gained considerable expertise in the field of refugees, persons without status and removals from Canada. He took hundreds of decisions for the Canadian government on immigration matters and has become a specialist in the cases of Pre Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA), Humanitarian Considerations (H&C) and country conditions assessment.
